18th Biennial Art Auction and PAArty

Thank you to all who supported our Art Auction on May 7th!  The biennial event was wildly successful, with more than 500 PAA members, patrons and contributing artists gathered for the always-creative event. The divine Vibiana (an actual decommissioned cathedral) in the downtown Los Angeles arts district, boasted high ceilings, beautiful architecture, and a spacious setting to display the 90 pieces of contemporary art donated by some of Southern California’s most dynamic emerging and established artists. The evening was a visual as well as gastronomic feast, with delectable passed bites, Pokē-style fish, Mediterranean fare, and mini-desserts provided by Redbird. An Afro-Latin ensemble from Cal State L.A. provided musical entertainment, and improvisational performances by Machine Project took place in the surrounding confessionals. Visual presentations by Freewaves and Side Street Projects rounded out the evening.

A special thanks to Julie Ward, Benefit Chair, to Rita Flynn, Assistant Benefit Chair, and to the entire hard-working and creative benefit committee for an unforgettable event!
