Twenty- five PAA members traveled to the Hammer on November 9th to view the extraordinary exhibition Radical Women: Latin American Art, 1960-1985 – part of Pacific Standard Time: LA/LA 2017. More than 280 works from 25 different countries included contributions of 120 women artists from Latin America and those of Latina and Chicana descent in the United States. This landmark exhibition highlights the artistic contribution of these under-recognized Latina, Chicana, and Latin American women to contemporary art. Our delightful guide highlighted the works in a range of media, including photography, video, and installation.
After our tour, members enjoyed lunch on the patio prepared by the AMMO Museum Cafe. Ed in LA continues to feature the current exhibitions of PST LA/LA during our upcoming tours.
