On Thursday, October 25th, a sold-out Art Alliance audience was treated to a tour and discussion of member Betsy Greenberg’s personal art collection. Betsy has a thoughtful and intentional approach to her collecting: she collects women artists and focuses on artists that have a global connection. She is a prolific collector: nearly all the wall space in her 3000+ square foot gallery was full, and Betsy estimates that it represents some 125 works of art!
The membership has been the lucky recipient to Betsy’s connections to the art world: she has been on the Art Auction Artist Committee every year since becoming a member in 2012. A few familiar artists that Betsy has introduced to the PAA were evident on her walls and tabletops, as well as many others that Betsy has acquired through other non-profit art auctions, galleries and artist’s studios. It was an inspiring and educational morning!
