The Pasadena Art Alliance gathered at the Craft Contemporary on April 2nd, and had the privilege of enjoying a curator-led show of: Material Curiosity by Design: Evelyn & Jerome Ackerman, an absolute throw-back to the 1960’s fueled folk art diaspora around interior design, textile design, ceramics and tile. The show of this quietly-legendary Los Angeles couple was nothing short of fantastic, another wonderful example of where and how the PAA invests in our shared stories and Southern California histories. After the meeting, members enjoyed delicious Michoacán tacos, tortas and salads at the nearby Descanso Restaurant. Thank you to Sarah Culhane, Natasha Unger, Sabra White and Mollie White who did such a wonderful job organizing the day.
