artlab21 Foundation promotes education through art and appreciation of art. Their gallery is a catalyst for creative thinking, believing that art and art education is foundational to any civil society.

Recently relocated from El Segundo to Lawndale to bring museum culture to an underserved community,  artlab21 will receive a grant to fund Experience 60: GRIEF, which will open in October of 2025. The Experimentally Structured Museum of Art, with free admission, will present 12 of California’s most thought-provoking –  emerging and established artists – with works organized around the Five Stages of Grief model. Through a range of mixed media, these largely Black artists offer fresh context and perspective with their reflections on race and representation. October 4, 2025 – March 1, 2026
