Hammer Museum at UCLA

Olga Vanegas

The Hammer Museum at UCLA believes in the promise of art and ideas to illuminate our lives and build a more just world. It champions the art and artists who challenge us to see the world in a new light, to experience the unexpected, to ignite our imaginations, and inspire change. A vibrant intellectual and creative nexus, the Hammer is fueled by dynamic exhibitions and programs, including lectures, symposia, film series, readings, and musical performances that spark meaningful encounters with art and ideas.

The Hammer will receive funding to support Made in L.A. 2025, the seventh iteration of the museum’s signature biennial. The show is composed of a selection of 25-30  artists that embody the abundant diversity of Los Angeles through a multiplicity of cultures and backgrounds. The biennial aims to showcase artists that represent the community of the city, which also speaks to the Hammer’s larger institutional goals of expanding representation and inclusion in the museum’s exhibitions, programs and collections. May 5, 2025 – January 4, 2026
