Based in San Marino, the Huntington Library, Art Museum, and Botanical Gardens shares its world-renowned collections to support scholarship, foster learning, inspire creativity, and offer transformative experiences for diverse audiences.  The Art Museum features British, European, American and Asian art, spanning more than 500 years.

Funding will support the exhibition Don Bachardy which will present an overview of the artistic trajectory and the life of the acclaimed Los Angeles artist, Don Bachardy. Through approximately 150 works, an illustrated catalogue, and a slate of programs, the exhibition will provide a rare glimpse into Los Angeles’ cultural and artistic history, the evolution of the local LGBTQ+ community, and the nearly vanished process of painting portraits through in-person sittings.
