The mission of the galleries at PCC is to present high-caliber exhibitions of local contemporary artists, provide an opportunity for students to view and discuss challenging works, and to have their art exhibited to professional standards.

PAA’s grant will fund two Artists in Residencies: Karen Lofgren and Joel Otterson, as well as their Guest Lecture Series.

Karen Lofgren is a Toronto-born, Los Angeles-based artist working across sculpture, site-specific installation, and works on paper.  Her works build on her study of ritual in ancient medicine during a Guggenheim Fellowship (2022); and a Fulbright Scholarship (2018) March 4 – May 4, 2025

Joel Otterson. Otterson has been at the forefront of the ever-changing field of sculpture since the 1980’s. Across the arc of his career, Otterson has exhibited at MoMA, the Whitney, The Broad, the Hammer, and the Venice Biennale. October 7 – November 22, 2025
