What an incredibly special afternoon full of friendship, laughter, great conversation, and delightful hats! Friends old and new gathered in Susan Masterman’s lovely gardens. We were introduced to our newest members, heard reports from several committees, honored the most recent Permanent Collection members, welcomed the 2023-2024 PAA board, and celebrated the announcement of the Impact Award winner, Inner-City Arts. There were also two very special presentations. Karen Hoffman, President of ArtCenter, presented PAA with an honorary donor pencil award for reaching the one million dollar giving level. We were also thrilled to welcome Johanna Burton, Director of MOCA, who spoke to us about the LA art scene. And we had the privilege of celebrating a very special birthday – Betye Burton’s 100th! We were delighted to have Betye, one of our 10 Gems,  at the annual meeting with us. Afterwards, we dined on Shrimp or Chicken Louis salad, bread, and a lemon sorbet, catered by John Robinson. Katy Champ generously provided her hand-painted tablecloths and banners from the Fringe Benefit. Thank you to all who contributed to the event!
